Annual review and accounts
Our programmes benefit hundreds of thousands of people across Scotland every year, from babies to adults.
Scottish Book Trust's mission is to ensure people living in Scotland have equal access to books. Discover some of the highlights of our work in our Annual Review 2021–22(this link will open in a new window):
- Our fundraising appeal enabled us to provide over 200,000 books to children and families living in areas of deprivation, through food banks and community groups.
- We continued the national roll out of our accreditation programme, Reading Schools, to 17 local authorities, putting reading for pleasure at the heart of schools and supporting them to build a positive reading culture.
- We celebrated the tenth birthday of Book Week Scotland with another packed, curated programme of event and projects, centred around the theme of Celebration.
- We presented our Bookbug Hero and Learning Professional Awards to worthy winners from Clackmannanshire and Edinburgh.
