Sensory Stories Summer Event with Marion Kenny

You can register for an event with Marion Kenny until 14 June 2026.

Elevate your summer together with Marion Kenny, an expert storyteller and musician who brings years of experience to creating joyful, sensory-friendly environments for children and young people with additional support needs. Marion crafts a bespoke sound world using an enchanting array of instruments, including harps, flutes, and singing bowls, to immerse her audience in a truly multi-sensory experience.

As a former clown doctor with experience in hospices and ASN schools, she is uniquely skilled at adapting her blend of music, magic, and movement to meet the specific needs of those with profound and complex disabilities. Whether through gentle one-to-one interaction or vibrant group play with juggling scarves and fans, Marion ensures every participant feels safe, included and empowered.

About the programme

The Sharing Sensory Stories Summer Road Show is part of Sensory Storytelling, our three-year programme which brings the magic of author visits and the many benefits of books and sensory storytelling to children and young people in Scotland.

These events have been designed for children with additional support needs in mind and can be easily tailored to meet the requirements of the children in your setting.

Our Scottish Book Trust team are also on hand to support you with the events and are happy to provide advice, guidance, or discuss any requirements in advance of the event, to ensure your children and young people get the most out of the experience.

Interested in a storytelling event but the date doesn’t work for you?

If the suggested date isn’t suitable for your setting, please get in touch and let us know. If there are other dates in July 2025 that would work better, we’ll do our best to accommodate your request based on storyteller availability.

If you have any questions, please contact [email protected](this link will open in a new window).
