About the event

During the event, students will meet author Beth O’Brien and hear about her journey into writing, including the fears she had to overcome. She’ll talk about her books and why it is important to see disabled characters in stories, then read a preview from her upcoming novel Feather Vane, out in March 2026.

Students will take part in a fun quiz and a quick creative activity where they’ll retell a fairy tale in their own words. There’ll be time to share ideas and ask Beth questions in a relaxed Q&A to finish.
