Hear from author of Better Places picture books series, Ben Andrews, as he talks about his inspiration for his books, reads for the very first time the first book in the series, Nicky and Candy's Street, and gets us all thinking and moving towards Better Places.

Audience: P1+ (age 5+). Please note our audience guidelines should be used as a rough guide only. We encourage you to share events with pupils of all ages and stages if you think they'd enjoy taking part!

Ben Andrews is committed to making change happen. For the past twelve years, Ben has dedicated his life to making spaces and places better for disabled people. The founder of Beyond Empower Community Interest Company, Andrews has combined his own passion for health to help society better support disabled adults to live healthier and more active lives. With Better Places, a new series of picture books, Ben is looking to work more with children to spark the creative, curious, and colourful minds of today to encourage them towards thinking about a more accessible, inclusive and better tomorrow.
