The Scottish Teenage Book Prize celebrates the very best in Scottish teen fiction and helps teenagers find new, exciting books to read. Voting for the 2022 prize is now closed. Get involved
Every year, we select the three best new books from Scottish authors and publishers for the Scottish Teenage Book Prize shortlist. Teenagers throughout Scotland read all three books on the shortlist and decide the winner by voting for their favourite.
To celebrate the Scottish Teenage Book Prize shortlist, watch the authors read from their books, find exclusive Q&A content and explore our activity suggestions, such as book jenga and hot seating.
Lots of young people take part as a group organised through their school or local library, or you can take part as an individual.
Teenagers who want to vote as an individual don’t need to register in advance, simply read all three books and vote for your favourite before Friday 25 March 2022!
