Book Week Scotland: Friendship – Vote for your favourite word for ‘friend’

We need your help to choose Scotland’s favourite words for ‘friend’!

The top words will be incorporated into the cover design for the upcoming Book Week Scotland book, Friendship.

The book contains true stories on the theme of friendship, written by people across Scotland as part of our annual Scotland's Stories writing opportunity. Thousands of free copies of Friendship will be distributed around the country during Book Week Scotland 2025 (17–23 November).
