Future

Once upon a time in a land called China, it was a very sunny normal day, people were working and kids were in nursery or school, maybe some were in college or university. It was just a normal day. Everyone was just doing what they do best in life, no one knew that something bad was going to happen, no one knew that the world was going to go into lockdown.

Then someone thought it would be a good idea to eat a bat that had a virus called Coronavirus (Covid-19) that’s killing thousands of people everyday all around the world; now everyone is on lockdown.

It’s now put a big impact on everything and everyone’s lives. Kids can’t go to nursery or school, some can’t even go to college or university and people can’t go to work.

Now you’re having to home school your kids. Some need to work from home and we can’t see our friends and family. You’re only to go out to get your food shop or for your daily exercise.

At the start of lockdown you were only to go out once a day for your daily exercise. Now you can go out more than once a day. We have to stand two metres apart from other people at all times and you have to stand in a queue at the shops.

Every Thursday we all go out and clap for the NHS and key workers, for them going out there and doing what they do best.

This lockdown was only to last for 3 weeks, that was months ago. Some countries have lifted their lockdown but, where I stay in Scotland, well, it’s never ending! I will probably be in my sixties and in a care home when this is all over!
