Futures

In the 1960s “Tomorrow’s World” predicted what the future might bring,

It was quite entertaining, if that was your thing,

It was on B.B.C.1 and shown just once a week,

Some predictions were credible, others tongue in cheek.

It predicted the A.T.M. and Chip and Pin,

A remote control and a T.V. ever so thin,

P.C’S, mobile phones and the internet,

There’s even more to come, we ain’t seen nothing yet!

Doors

Open the door, open it wide,

I want to see what there is outside,

Open the door, just once more,

I want to hear the creaking of the door.

Close the door, fasten the bolt,

Batten down the hatches and do what you're told!

Draw the curtains, keep out the light,

If you hear a loud knock at the door, don't get uptight!
