Frustration of the Facebook page
I try my passwords and none engage
The annoyance challenges my good mood
That sends me into the fridge for food

I take a deep breath and try once again
Yet nothing to do just need to alone fend
For me myself in some other way
Try my writing class entry too not o.k.

I grab a glass and pour in wine
It seems tonight I’m wasting my time
The T.V. blinks to make a bad day finish
Nothing works at all so I get spinach

I reflect long and hard now tonight
What can I do to get things right
I watch pieces of mystery Dr Blake
In Australia they did make

I then put a CD in a small red machine
I hope this will work and am keen
I want a story by author McCall Smith
To make me laugh and to take me with

A world of traditional built woman
It makes me smile and go with him
His work carries me along a good path
That one can stop and erase one’s wrath

I am now drowsy but think of the new van
But traditional built woman is not what I am
Each book he writes I read
I laugh and cherish them I so need
To go away by reading a book
Is like going into a cozy nook
They bring you to another world
Full of daily problems swirled

But in the end it’s all resolved
And harmony and love revolve
To keep a person happy with a smile
This is the greatest of any style

Thank you Alexander McCall Smith
For all the joy you share and give with
Each book you write is fun and fulfilling
To make life’s little problems go willing

To a waste basket of problems substituted
By the laughter you give undiluted
I am still laughing after finishing a book
That you so give to get off a bad hook

Yes indeed I wish I had your skill
But I know I can’t and never will
I love your words that paint a scene
The people in it always great and keen

To make our lives better too
We can read them and renew
Our love of man and each day
