Home, the long way

Author: Andrew Studders
Year: Adventure

A couple of months before my 25th birthday I quit my job and left on an adventure. I'd been working in stockrooms swapping one job for another never satisfied with the work I was doing, spending days moving items around fluorescent lit warehouses. I began to feel lost. As summer approached that year a plan formed, leaving from my home town of Alloa I would follow the Fife coastal route to Dundee. From there head north towards Aberdeen following the coast and skirting across to Inverness, and coming back down thought Aviemore and down to Blair Atholl. All on foot and with only a tent, a back pack and a couple of books to keep me company. This is the barebones of many the small adventures that made for such a memorable journey.
