Our Sensory Storytelling project brings the magic of an author visit and the many benefits of books and sensory storytelling to young people with additional support needs.

For nurseries, schools and families looking for accessible storytelling materials, we have collated a list of businesses, organisations and charities where you might find high quality purchasable resources and free guides, including some of our own resources. You can apply for funds to purchase some of the resources mentioned on this list or others of your choice through our Sensory Stories Fund. This fund provides a £400 grant for schools and groups working with children and young people with additional support needs to promote a love of stories in their setting.

For more information, you may also be interested in our article on How to access tactile and braille books for children. We are also pleased to be able to provide free tactile books for children with additional support needs.

If you use a particular resource which you find helpful and notice that it isn’t on this list, please do get in touch at [email protected](this link will open in a new window) as we would love to hear about it.
