Read Blether stories

As part of our annual story project, we asked people all over Scotland to submit true stories inspired by this year’s theme, Blether.

As part of our annual story project, we asked people all over Scotland to submit true stories inspired by this year’s theme, Blether.

A good blether can help us through a tough time, give us the confidence to overcome a hurdle or just put a smile on our face at the end of a long day.

We all love telling stories, we do it every day. Telling our own stories allows us to connect with the people around us and get a better sense of who we are, where we’re going and what we’re aiming for. So whether it’s the weekly catch up with a friend at your favourite coffee spot, a tough conversation that allowed you to move forward in your life or the time you connected with a complete stranger, Blether means something to everyone.

Hundreds of people from across Scotland have told us what Blether means to them. We shared every Blether story we received online, and our favourite stories will be published in a free book distributed across the country during Book Week Scotland 2019.
