She had noted the smears on the window on her way up the garden path. Now here he was beckoning her in with a rolled up magazine. With grim satisfaction she saw the crushed bluebottles sticking to the magazine.
Then the dreaded words:
“Would you like a cup of tea?”

Smaoinich dè cho mòr ’s a ghabh mi iongnadh nuair a dh’fhosgail mi an Illeach a-nochd — agus leugh gun robh mi air a' siubhal. An toiseach, bha na faclan coibhneil—an uair sin fuar—fuar falamh. Ciamar a bha seo comasach? Cha robh fios agam idir. Beannachd leibh………..tha mi a' smaoineachadh.
