As the fire raged behind them, the prince hollered to the princess lingering behind "We have to get out of here! It’s not safe!" The princess ignored him, feeding the trapped dragon, patting his scaly neck with her petite hands.
"Why would I leave my only friend?" She innocently asked.

Two friends sat on the old bridge, legs dangled above the river. Years went by, everything changed but not the bond between best friends. They didn't need words, the silence between them said it all. When the sun dipped below the trees one whispered, “same next year?” The other smiled.
