I am a poet and novelist with an academic background in science and technology (AI and robotics – I can perform with a robot). My poetry covers many themes, from politics, to science, from memory to fantasy, in forms varying from sonnets to free verse. I like to write clearly and to be accessible to non-poetry audiences. My novels are set in Scotland and blend SF and Fantasy with everyday experiences. I really enjoy reading to audiences and have plenty of experience of doing this; I have run a few small poetry workshops with adults but attended very many more, so I am confident I could run a poetry workshop with adolescents upwards.
