I write poetry for adults and children. My book, Wain, focuses on LGBT+ retellings of Scottish folklore for young people; it is aimed at teens but is suitable for all ages. I also write and edit science fiction poetry (my background is in astrophysics), and poetry that is concerned with gender, technology, nature and age.

I have been running creative writing workshops for children and teenagers for many years, including with the Scottish Poetry Library. I write LGBT inclusive rhyming picture books for young children. I also run interactive, educational storytelling sessions that concentrate on science and/or nature studies themes.

I can offer performances/readings, storytelling sessions, panel discussions and workshops. I love to work on creative projects with young people, whether they are already budding authors or have never thought of themselves as writers before.
