Peter Kerr's headshot

Peter Kerr is the bestselling travel writer of titles including Snowball Oranges, One Mallorcan Summer, Viva Mallorca! and A Basketful of Snowflakes - his acclaimed Mallorcan-based books. The inspiration from his Spanish books comes from his own experience; when the recession of the 1980s hit he threw in the towel as a farmer of barley and beef cattle in Scotland and moved his family to Mallorca to take on a run-down orange farm - something that he knew nothing about. Other titles include historical novel Song of the Eight Winds, non-fiction book Don't Call Me Clyde! Jazz Journey of a Sixties Stomper, humourous Highland caper The Other Monarch of the Glen and The Bob Burns Investigates trilogy of humour-laced mysteries.

Peter is available for lighthearted talks and readings, often with Hispano/Scottish themes - sometimes including music, tapas, sangria, neeps and tatties! He has performed at book and arts festivals, libraries and more throughout the UK and beyond.
