Natalie Jayne Clark's headshot

I am a neurodivergent writer, performer, and producer based in Perth, Scotland.

I have delivered hundreds of workshops and events on topics like creative writing, getting published, facilitating workshops, and literacy across the curriculum. I earned a distinction for my master’s dissertation on festival accessibility and have a decade of teaching experience. I can tailor my events to the needs of your organisation and audiences. I host a regular spoken word event in Perth, have interviewed several high profile artists, and confidently chair and compere events.

Within a week of my highly commended pitch at Bloody Scotland’s Pitch Perfect in 2023, I signed with literary agent Jenny Brown and secured a pre-emptive book deal for my debut novel ‘The Malt Whisky Murders’, published by independent Scottish publishers Polygon, Birlinn. I have been invited to appear at a range of festivals, including Paisley Book Festival, Hidden Door, Granite Noir, and Bloody Scotland.

‘Natalie’s work is vibrant, characterful and nuanced; brilliantly capturing the details of daily life and transforming them into a collage of poetic insight. As a performer, her personality shines through – bringing her work to life with a charming stage presence and charismatic delivery.’ Kevin P. Gilday, Stirling Makar
