I’m published by Bookouture and I write historical cosy crime novels with an element of comedy and romance. My first series – The Scottish Ladies’ Detective Agency - features a platonic friendship between two strong female characters in 1911, and the second series – Lady Poppy Proudfoot – includes a would-be romantic relationship between a female member of the peerage and a police inspector in 1924. Both series are set firmly in Scotland and involve solving crimes.

I am a former lecturer in law and have a doctorate in criminology. I’ve given talks on my writing at libraries in Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire. I’m a member of both the Crime Writers’ Association and the Society of Authors.
