I love children’s books…the more illustrations the better! Picture books are an inspiration to me…to write, to illustrate or to read.

Sharing my own picture books with children is a joy and no matter what age they are. Whether I’m dancing around like a lemur, drawing characters on a flip chart or teaching older kids the process, I’m passionate about it all!

Over the last 19 years I have written and/or illustrated over 30 picture books, worked with various publishers worldwide, had my books translated into 15 different languages and have taken part in many a book festival, school or library event (Oh, and I’m also a lecturer in textile design at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art!).

My Oxford University Press collection - written by Jan Ormerod - always goes down a storm at events. These have also been frequently used for Bookstart and Bookbug bags as there is a lovely rhyme and rhythm to them all!

My events are friendly, fun and can be tailored to whatever age group I am working with. This is mostly under P3’s for the interactive-picture-book-dancing but adapted to a more educational approach for older kids (although dancing is always optional!).
