Lilian Ross: Storyteller, writer and singer was born in the Buchan farmlands of Aberdeenshire. Lilian works in Scots and English, delivering age appropriate workshops plus CPD for teachers in Scots song, rhyme and storytelling to address the demands of the Curriculum for Excellence. Lilian published a book and C.D. of songs and rhymes in Scots as a resource for schools. Yokie Tonsils was featured at the Education Scotland's Scots Language Roadshow; Aberdeen and Stirling, Aberdeen-shire Libraries Moving Words event, Inverness Book Festival, Belladrum Festival,Celtic Connections, Winter Words Festival Pitlochry, Read-a-Licious Festival Peebles plus many more. Published by Feisean nan Gaidheal the content of Yokie Tonsils has been utilised in schools throughout the Highlands as part of the Youth Music Initiative delivered by Feis Rois which Lilian has worked on for many years.

Lilian writes poetry, short stories and song lyrics, has recorded an album of songs, Thorns and Roses, performing song, spoken word and storytelling at venues and festivals throughout the U.K and Ireland to audiences of all ages.

Current and ongoing projects include the Fun Folk app and Youth Music Initiative (YMI) with Feis Rois, Wee Windaes with National Library for Scotland, and being Patron of Reading and Scots Language in Schools.
