Kirkland Ciccone
I'm the punk rock, mondo weirdo, tall tale spreading, fabulous not drabulous fatso author of four strange novels for young people. I've toured and performed extensively in theatres, schools, libraries, festivals and anywhere else willing to pay the fee to hire me. A favourite with librarians around Scotland (I bet they say that to everyone though), I'm always out and about at events, touring and performing my live stories.
My debut novel Conjuring The Infinite won The Catalyst Award, while my other books have garnered me a cult following. Endless Empress was my attempt at writing the weirdest punk book for teens ever. North of Porter tells of a handbag-wielding teenage boy investigating murder in a small town; it isn't my autobiography. Glowglass is my catty Sweet Valley High takedown with a more twists than Kylie Jenner trying to get into skinny jeans.
I hail from Cumbernauld, winner of the infamous Plook On The Plinth award. I'm currently working on a novel for adults which is also set in Cumbernauld.
