My background is in visual art and textiles and I am the author of story and poetry collections The Spit, the Sound and the Nest and House However published by Vagabond Voices, as well as several poetry chapbooks.

A frequent collaborator with artists and writers, I have received a New Writers Award from the Scottish Book Trust, read at StAnza Poetry Festival and Edinburgh International Book Festival, and participated in poetry translation projects in Pakistan and Latvia. I live in Glasgow where I home educate my teenage children and am available for readings of my own work and for projects and workshops. Most recently, I delivered 'words for wellbeing' workshops in community garden spaces in Glasgow organised by Lapidus. (Photo credit: Eilidh McIntosh)
