Kathleen Hart's headshot

Kathleen Hart was educated at a convent school in Cheshire before experimenting with various occupations from air hostess to antiques dealer, but her favourite so far is author. She does her best writing in a whitewashed cottage in Scotland where she keeps bees and swims in the sea. She is PoshPedlar on Instagram where she encourages her highly engaged 125,000 followers to ‘make room for the magic’.

Her memoir Devorgilla Days is a book about survival and renewal, and a call to arms to anyone who has dreamt about starting over.

Kathleen is in the process of establishing a Creative Writing School in her home town, Wigtown, Scotland's National Book Town. She enjoys giving talks to all ages about her memoir writing, sea swimming, and life in Scotland.

She has appeared on the BBC (Debate Night), BBC Radio Scotland, ITV Border and written for numerous publications including The Irish Times.  Kathleen has also been a guest speaker at literary festivals and other public events.
