Karen Macfarlane is a writer and poet based in Perthshire. Her two poetry collections, All About the Surface and Native River & Other Returnings are rooted in the Scottish landscape and are “deft negotiations between nature and human-made; between species; between past and present; the body and the elements.” Rebecca Sharp, poet. “These are poems of joy and discovery… that ask us to bear witness to the large and the small. These are poems of survival, poems for all.’ Morag Anderson, poet.
Karen is an Occupational Therapist and has a strong interest in writing for wellbeing and the use of creative writing as a tool for reflective practice. She has wide experience of facilitating workshops both in person and on-line, and has performed her work across Scotland.
