Justin Davies

I am a children’s author with books published for ages 7-14. My first two books, Help! I Smell a Monster & Whoa! I Spy a Werewolf (ages 7+) are comedy adventures stuffed full of incredible monster characters. Haarville and my latest book, Firebloom, are exciting adventures for readers 9+, both with supernatural twists. I have extensive experience with in-person school visits and book festivals, as well as virtual events; I also have classroom skills, and an understanding of current primary teaching practices, having worked in a primary school in a support role.

 

I offer fun and interactive full-school assemblies, with a focus on how and why I became a children's author. My Firebloom visits also include some jelly-tastic jellyfish facts, plus a peek at the jellyfish research I undertook; we also create a brand-new story plot in ten minutes! There's always time for a reading, the all-important Q&A and a quick sea shanty sing-a-long!

 

In addition, I offer classroom-based workshops for primary levels P3-P7, and secondary levels S1-S2, covering all elements of story creation; I am also available for writing workshops for adults, with experience running ‘worldbuilding’ sessions.
