I am a writer and poet. I am experienced in working with a wide range of age groups, organising and delivering writing workshops in secondary schools to all ages and stages; I have experience as a WEA tutor working in a library and as a tutor for Survivors’ Poetry Scotland facilitating creative writing workshops at Margaret Blackwood Housing Association. I can provide workshops about poetry/fiction and writing in Scots. I can adapt workshops to any group. My aim in workshops is to help people find their own individual writing voice in a fun, relaxed and safe space. My work has been published widely in poetry magazines such as New Writing Scotland, Causeway/Cabhsair, Southword, and the Poetry Society Newsletter. I was highly commended in the Ledbury 2022 Poetry Competition. I was awarded a Scots Language Publication Grant 2022 to publish an e-novel Ma Mum & William Wordsworth (first edition longlisted by Mslexia 2013 First Novel Competition).

I am interested in themes of community building, voice and language, nature, bereavement and resilience, empowerment through creative writing and reading.

I also provide editing and proof-reading services.
