Following an MA in Screenwriting, London College of Communication (UAL), I worked as  a professional screen and scriptwriter, and have production credits in film, TV and radio. This includes the award-winning film El Greco, episodes of Casualty, and afternoon plays and series for BBC Radio Four. I have also worked as a script editor, and have a particular interest in story structure.

For the past eight years I have been self-employed as a Creative Writing facilitator, covering all age groups from primary school, to teens, to people in their eighties, but mainly for adults - designing, marketing and running a range of in-person and online courses. I'm known for my encouraging approach to teaching short stories, screenplays, novels, radio plays, poetry and also writing for wellbeing. Participant feedback often comments that I empower people to have a go and try new things, boosting their confidence and inspiring more writing outside of the classes and workshops.

I have provided multiple nature writing programmes, both locally in the Highlands and online, and am passionate about promoting engagement with climate issues through connection with and commitment to the environment around us.
