Jack Jackman is the author of the Maisie Vs series and is also a primary school teacher in East Lothian. Before settling in Scotland, he spent his time wandering the world, including several years in Argentina during which he was the most southerly Endligh teacher in the world. Jack has also been a tour guide in an Argentine prison, a pianist in a Polish punk rock band, a tester of computer games and even a waiter in Antarctica (penguins do not tip well), which inspired his first middle grade novel, Maisie vs Antartica.
Jack creates accessible interactive workshops around his books and loves to inspire boys and girls to read and write. He puts particular emphasis on resilience and endurance.
