I'm an author and a lawyer, living in Inverness. My thriller Unravelling was published in July 2021. A dual-time frame novel, set in Inverness, and featuring the iconic former psychiatric hospital, Craig Dunain, it’s a dark tale of murder and madness, uplifted by strong family ties and enduring love.

I also have two published police procedural crime novels featuring DS Joe Galbraith. In the Shadow of the Hill and Madness Lies are set in Inverness and the Outer Hebrides. Both areas provide a stunning backdrop for the sinister events in the novels. I have written two Edinburgh-based thrillers, Deception and Queen of Grime, which are due to be published in 2022.

I have also written contemporary fiction, historical fiction and short stories. I'm very interested in island communities and the Gaelic language.
