I am the author of five novels including His Bloody Project (2015) and Case Study (2021).His Bloody Project was shortlisted for the Booker Prize and won the Saltire Prize for Fiction. Case Study was longlisted for the Booker and shortlisted for the Gordon Burn Prize. I have also written a French-set crime trilogy featuring Georges Gorski, the final part of which A Case of Matricide will be published in 2024. My work has been published in over twenty languages and I've appeared at festivals all over the world and delivered many events in Scotland. I don’t do workshops, but I’m happy to discuss any aspect of my work and writing practices.
