I am the author of three novels, The Disappearance of Adèle Bedeau, His Bloody Project and The Accident on the A35. His Bloody Project was shortlisted for the 2016 Man Booker Prize, the LA Times Mystery Prize and won the Saltire Prize for Fiction. It has been published in over 20 languages including German, Russian, Chinese, French, Spanish, Chinese, Japanese and Korean. I was the Sunday Herald Author of the Year in 2017. I'm currently working on my fourth novel.

I've appeared at festivals all over the world and delivered many events in libraries and bookshops in Scotland. I'm happy to discuss any aspect of my work and writing practices.
