I live in Glasgow where I work as an audio editor, newspaper subeditor and crime fiction writer. My first book The Road to Lisbon was a dual narrative novel co-authored by Martin Greig. It was published by Birlinn-Polygon in 2012. My first crime novel, The Killing of Helen Addison, was published by Polygon in 2017 to positive reviews. It is the first in a series of supernatural detective fiction starring psychic detective Leo Moran.

The second book in the series, The Shadow of the Black Earl, was released in September 2018 and I am currently developing the third Leo Moran adventure The Mystery of the Strange Piper.

I have spoken at several book festivals, including the Edinburgh Fridge, the Wigtown Book Festival, Aye Write! and Bloody Scotland. I have been interviewed for radio and print media. In 2017, a podcast serial Debut was produced by BackPage Press, detailing my journey as an author ‘from the bedroom to the bookshelf.’
