Caroline Burrows is a published performance poet and writer, with an MA in Creative Writing. She runs poetry and creative writing workshops on a variety of themes: eco-poetry for part of Durham Cathedrals ‘Gaia’ exhibition; travel writing at Love Her Wild North women’s adventure festival; a poetry climate crisis workshop at Dundreggan Rewilding Centre, and creative writing workshops to EFL adult learners.

Caroline regularly performs her poetry show in arts centres, libraries, at festivals, and to W.I. and U3a groups. Her first full poetry collection Verse Cycles was published by indie-press The Jawbone Collective in March 2024. Her poetry has appeared on BBC Radio 4, BBC Sky at Night Magazine. The Bristol Bike Bard documentary was officially selected for Kendal Adventure Film Festival, and she’s been Poet in Residence at Cromarty Arts Trust.

Her tour Turning Pedals into Poems was shortlisted in the Saboteur Awards, and had her named one of Cycling UK’s #100WomenInCycling for touring from Bristol to Berwick-upon-Tweed by bike. She’s written mental health poetry commissions for Glenside Hospital Museum and Bristol Ideas, and eco-poetry for the ethical bank Triodos. Her year of daily eco-verses It’s Not Easy Being Green was short-listed for the Sustainability First Art Prize.
