Over 40 years I have written nine collections of poetry, five non-fiction books, and seven novels. These cover rural and small town life, Scottish culture and history, love, death, friendship, family, mountaineering, fishing, sailing, golf, having a body and being mortal - the usual existential stuff, in the context of adventure and activity! I tend to play and sing to the banjo.
