I am an author of nature-oriented fantasy for children and adults. The Sky Beneath the Stone is my first novel. I believe a good story has the power to change the world, and I love to tell stories about adventures with animals and trees, mountains and magic.

In the past I have written award-winning plays for teen and adult audiences which were performed around the UK. I have a Master’s degree in Screenwriting and my feature screenplay reached the top 50 entries to the Academy Nicholl Fellowship in 2016. As one of the highest-scoring women I was invited by the Academy to attend the Writers’ Guild Festival in Hollywood. My expedition in the Rhodope Mountains, In Search of Europe’s Wild Horses, made me a National Geographic Explorer.

I can offer readings, Q&A sessions and talks about the book with a range of storytelling, nature and art activities for school groups. More creative writing focused workshops can centre on writing the environment, retelling folklore and fairy tales, creating fantasy worlds or developing and editing your work. I am happy to tailor talks and workshops to your school or group, working outdoors under the trees or inside around a table!
