Adam Murphy is an award-winning comics writer and artist. He is the co-creator (with his wife and creative partner, Lisa Murphy) of the hilarious history chat-show comics series CorpseTalk (David Fickling Books), now adapted as an animated TV show, and also the fantastic folk-tales comics series Lost Tales.
He has presented events attended by over 2000 pupils, individual one-to-one sessions and everything in between. He can tailor workshops and talks to your needs: either subject-based (specializing in history, science and folklore), or skills-based, using comics techniques for a wide variety of storytelling and pedagogical goals.
He has delivered many, many workshops for kids and adults. Clients include: Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons, Kirklees Libraries, Donegal County Library, Scottish Book Trust, Edinburgh College of Art, Edinburgh Book Festival, Hay Literary Festival, Story Museum, Northern Children's Book Festival, CBBC Live, Oxford University, Cartoon Museum, teacher training workshops for UK Literacy Association and many primary and secondary schools across the UK.
He lives and work on the Isle of Gigha with his wife and son. He is available for digital events. For in-person events – please use his web contact form to get in touch and discuss.
