I am an author and illustrator, and the cofounder of Doric Books CIC. We are a not-for-profit publisher focused on producing work written in Doric (Northeast Scots).

I have written and illustrated several children’s picture books and graphic novels in Doric. At Doric Books I also perform other tasks related to book production such as design (including cover design) and typesetting.

My work is inspired by the language, culture and landscape of Northeast Scotland. My graphic novels are written in a postmodern style and take a satirical look at Scottish identity.

I have held various book readings and community events at schools, libraries and bookshops and I have organised workshops and mentoring for both primary and high school pupils.

I have been nominated for and won various awards for my work in Doric.
