Chapter 1 – I met Ali back in 2021 in HMP Polmont. I was 16 and Ali was 17. In the beginning we didn't get along, we would argue all the time. It got to the point the officers had to keep us separate so we wouldn't end up fighting. Me and Ali kept our distance for a while and I realised I wanted to give Ali a second chance. I think she felt the same way so we decided to get to know each other.
Chapter 2 – The more time we spent together, the more we grew closer and closer, and over time we built a really strong friendship. If one of us was having a bad day we would pick each other back up. Ali was kind, caring, loyal, funny and a good listener. Even when Ali got out of the jail I would phone her every weekend and we would talk for ages.
Chapter 3 – All the memories me and Ali made will stick with me for life. One of the funniest memories was when we were both out for exercise and Ali was singing 'When you go, will you send back, a letter from America' to one of the older women who is American. Me and Ali would always chill in her room and listen to music.
Chapter 4 – One thing me and Ali always talked about was what we were going to do when I got out. Ali was going to take me for my first drink and she was going to take me clubbing.
Chapter 5 – I'm glad I gave Ali a chance. She helped me through some of my darkest moments, she accepted me for who I am, and that's what you call a good friend.
