The activities in this resource will encourage learners to discuss how technology can have an impact on personal finances, including the advantages and disadvantages of technology and any hidden costs that buyers may not be aware of.

• Begin by reading Skint! as a group up to page 15.
• Now use the discussion points to facilitate a conversation in the group around the costs of technology.
• After the discussion, ask your learners to complete the mobile phone and purchasing activities.
