Explore watercolour painting in our library illustration session. Try out some gorgeous colours and techniques with guidance (if you want it) and document fun times with friends, or things you have shared together.

All materials will be provided, though you are welcome to bring your own to add to the mix. Everyone will get their own mini book to paint in.

We will work from prompt cards to help you to find subject matter which is personal to you but which is easy to depict on the pages of your book. This workshop is all about creating in a relaxed atmosphere and we won't be trying to fill a page or tackle enormous complex images. Small moments and objects can tell their own stories of meaningful things which friends have shared, and these will be our focus.

Suitable for all levels of experience and confidence. The workshop is designed for adults but young people aged 14+ may also attend. It can be a good event to share with a family member but those under 14 should be accompanied, and young children may be asked to use different materials. Please feel free to come if you have particular support needs, and let us know how we can help to give you the best experience of the event.

Please contact the event organiser for booking information.
