This year’s Book Week Scotland celebrations are focused on sharing Scotland’s stories of adventure – from those that happen once in a lifetime to our everyday adventures. Join author Anne M Scriven for a creative writing workshop which encapsulates the theme of adventure, demonstrating that there are no ordinary moments nor lives.

Weaving memory, insights, personal perspective, family story and everyday happenings – large and seemingly small – Anne, a writer of narrative non-fiction, will read from her own published work and lead participants in the subtle craft of noticing the mind noticing and how to catch the right words for what is presented.

Anne M Scriven is a former lecturer at university level in Scottish literature, a survivor of the second-hand book trade, a freelance writer and essayist who is currently gathering excellent material by being a teacher of English (and Scots) for teenagers with ASN.

No experience required, book your free place via phone or email.
