Snapshots of a Life: Tell Us Your Story, We'll Help You Write It!

Everyone has a story to tell or a memory to record, but not everyone is able, or confident enough, to write them down. We can help!

We want to help you collect and preserve these stories. Our informal, friendly workshop is a chance for sharing words and stories – and feel free to bring along photographs, a special memento, or music and songs.

We're inviting you, or someone you know, to come along and share stories and memories with members of the Gilmerton Writing Group. We'll listen to your life stories – happy, sad, funny, whatever's important to you – and either help you write them down, or write them for you. We'll also share some of our own tales.

We'll collect the finished stories and put them all together in a pamphlet, to create Snapshots of a Life and everyone who attends is promised a free copy.

Our event is open to adults of all ages and abilities. Come for the whole workshop or just drop-in. Friends and carers are very welcome and refreshments will be provided for all.
