Inspired by writers such as Robert Louis Stevenson and Isobel Hutchison, this creative writing workshop examines what sends Scots abroad, and what effect distance has on their thoughts of home.

Participants are warmly invited to respond with their own writing as we look at lyrics, poetry and prose by some of the many Scots who have, by choice or coercion, found themselves a long way from home.

Scots language will feature, but no prior knowledge is necessary.

Led by Scots writer Alan McClure.
