Join storyteller and singer Ruth Kirkpatrick to shed some light on his life, his loves and his trials. Gaining an insight into his background helps us to better understand his poetry, songs and perhaps some of his behaviour.
Ruth has performed in a show about Burns for several years and is a descendant of the Kirkpatricks of Closeburn, near Dumfries, where Burns was a regular visitor, illuminating the dark nights with his dazzling repertoire.
