DE Stevenson's Birthday Party

Fans, family and friends will be celebrating DE Stevenson's birthday from 2–4.30pm on 18 November, with tea and cake at the Buccleuch Hotel in Moffat. There will be books available to browse and buy, and her granddaughters will be remembering her and her own portrait of Moffat.

DE Stevenson wrote 42 novels from from the 1930s through to the 1970s which sold millions of copies throughout the world. She did most of her writing after moving to Moffat. There will be a private visit to the museum in Moffat after the event to view some of DE Stevenson's possessions not normally on display. Her novel Miss Buncle's Book will be 'Book at Bedtime' on Radio 4 during the week beginning 27 November.
