Join us for our inaugural Writers' Conference, a day dedicated to the craft of writing Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror. Meet fellow writers and network with agents and editors from the Scottish literary landscape.

Programme highlights include

  • A keynote from Marcus Gipps, Publishing Director at Gollancz
  • Discover a world beyond novel writing with Cat Clarke, Gavin Inglis and Robbie MacNiven who’ll discuss the special skills required to work in TV, Games and Audio and Tie-in Writing.
  • Francesca Barbini of Luna Press hosts a workshop designed to help you develop the essential skills required to read, understand, and negotiate a publishing contract.
  • A workshop on Writing and Publishing Genre Fiction with David Bishop
  • Find Your Voice Workshop with author duo MK Hardy
  • Agent One to Ones with Robbie Guillory (Underline Literary Agency), Caro Clarke (Portobello Literary) and John Baker (Bell Lomax Moretun)
  • Access and Accessibility for Writers with Julie Farrell, Director and Co-founder of Inklusion
  • A workshop to Create Your Own Fantasy Map with Andy Law
  • A workshop on Working with an editor: why? what? how? with Helen Bleck
