Our Forth Bridge: Made from Girders by Barbara Henderson and Alan McCredie, newly launched by Luath Press Ltd, celebrates the people and community connected by the iconic bridge.

Writer Barbara and photographer Alan capture moments with local heroes who all play a part in the story of the bridge that spans the Forth. This community event taking place in South Queensferry Library is for all ages and will include book readings by Barbara and an exhibition of Alan’s photography.

There will also be a human library with a chance to meet and connect with people featured in the book and hear more about their story. It could be a train driver, engineer, or artist! There will be interactive family activities and the winners of our Book Week Scotland 2023 competition will be announced.

Refreshments will be available.
