Submit a story for Your Stories: Scotland's Stories
Submission closing date: 10 June 2022, 00:00

As part of Scottish Book Trust's annual writing project – Your Stories – we're asking people all over Scotland to submit true stories inspired by this year's theme, Scotland's Stories. Join hundreds of people across Scotland in writing about your real-life experiences. Even if you've never written before, we'd love to hear from you! Entries can be in any form you like – a story, poem, comic strip, play, video, audio file, or letter. We welcome entries in Gaelic, Scots and English. Every entry will appear on our website and our favourite pieces will be published in a free book distributed during Book Week Scotland (14–20 Nov 2022) – our national celebration of books and reading. If you've found it difficult to write about something personal and you'd like to talk to someone about it, there are organisations that offer help and support(this will open in a new window).
Entrants can contact info@scottishbooktrust.com(this will open in a new window) to remove their submission from the website at any point.
Scotland's Stories: Community Campfires
Through funding support from Scotland's Year of Stories(this will open in a new window), we've expanded our Your Stories project for 2022 to bring Community Campfires (a tour of story making residencies) to local communities across Scotland. If you've written a story through one of these residencies, we'd love it if you shared it with us! There are separate forms for adults and under 16s below.
