Planet-0

Author: Heidi Darragh
Year: Future

The future isn’t at all what people had imagined. I should know. I’ve seen it. There aren’t any flying cars, or spaceships or robots. I can show you the future but it depends how far you would want to go. I could take you to tomorrow, or a week from tomorrow. Or I could take you far, far away and you could see for yourself what the future holds.

I don’t think humans understand what they’ve done to Earth, or the planet that we like to call, Planet-0. We call it that because it was the first planet (in our understanding) to inhabit at least one form of life. Ah yes, you’re not from around this time are you. Let me explain. There are over 20 billion sources of life. Planet-0’s life comes in the form of ‘Energy’, ‘Cells’ and ‘Composition’. All the living things on your planet ranging from the tiniest bacteria to the largest blue whale have these 3 forms of life; these are what keeps your world running. Or it was.

Before we go, I must warn you, the future is not for the faint hearted. It sounds cliché, I know. But trust me. You have to be absolutely sure. We just broke our last Neurology machine so there is no erasing what you see. The future is intense. It’s full of chaos, destruction and death. So please: think carefully. You are about to travel almost 300 years into the future. I know, 300 years isn’t actually that far from now but it’s where all forms of your life ended. Humans destroyed themselves and their own planet. They were the cause of their own destruction. You don’t seem surprised? You seem confident. Once, again, no turning back. Are you ready?
