Applications for this event are now closed.
In this event, Edward Ross will discuss his love for drawing and gaming, which inspired Gamish, a lovingly illustrated graphic novel that explores what makes games so special, why we love to play them, and how games shape the world we live in.
We're thrilled to also be joined by Hugh Lowry from Rockstar North, an Edinburgh-based video game developer that has created some of the most successful video games in the world. Hugh has over 14 years of experience working in the games industry (working on games including Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption 2). Currently, he works as Lead Audio Programmer at Rockstar North.
This event is an excellent opportunity for pupils to learn more about what it's like to work in the games industry. There will also be a chance for pupils to ask Edward and Hugh all their burning questions about writing, gaming and jobs in the industry.
Live virtual events will go ahead with a limited schools audience. We'll then share a recording of the event on our website to watch on demand. Applications are open to anyone who wants to join live.
